Why a group
What your child actually walks away with
A real song for the family
Within the first months your child plays something start to finish. Not exercises. A piece they are proud to perform in the living room.
Confidence that carries
Playing in front of other people is hard. Doing it every week, in a small friendly room, changes how a child handles every other stage they stand on.
Focus and patience
Learning an instrument teaches a child to stay with something difficult until it works. Parents usually notice it in schoolwork first.
Friends who also play
This is the part that keeps children going. Practising alone is lonely. When their friends are learning the same piece, practice stops being a fight.
A skill they keep for life
Most childhood activities get dropped. Violin does not. It stays with them into adulthood, and it is one of the few things you can still pick up at fifty.
Inside the hour
What an hour in class looks like
We warm up together
Posture, how to hold the violin, how to hold the bow. Every class starts here, because everything else depends on it.
We learn the music
A new piece of a song each week, broken into pieces small enough that every child in the room gets it. Six students means I see every single one.
You leave knowing what to practise
Every child goes home knowing exactly what to do that week, and looking forward to the next class.
Your child's teacher
Taught by Marta
I hold a Master's degree in Violin Teaching and I am RCM and Suzuki trained. I have taught children and adults for over ten years, and I still perform. Everything in these classes is real technique from the first class, taught in language a five year old understands.
I keep groups at six students because that is the largest number where I can still watch every bow hold, every week. Beyond that, children start to disappear.

What students and parents say
“I started without knowing how to play. Now I am at level seven. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to learn violin.”
My name is Cedar. I have been taking lessons with teacher Marta for five years. She is very patient, very encouraging and she has a big heart. I started without knowing how to play. Now I am at level seven. She is very patient, relaxing and calm to play with throughout the five years. Teacher Marta gave us a lot of practical tips and advice on how to help Cedar practice throughout the weeks. She even gave detailed notes on the music sheet on where to pay attention and where to refine. I really enjoy playing with her. I really appreciate Teacher Marta and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to learn violin.
“I changed 7 to 8 teachers and was almost about to give up. Then I chose Marta, and since then she is my teacher. I definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to learn violin.”
I started learning violin in 2020, and from 2020 to 2021, I changed 7 to 8 teachers. Those teachers were great violinists, but I was not able to learn properly from them. Maybe they were lacking from where to start me, or maybe they were not able to find my weaknesses. So I was almost about to give up learning violin, but in 2021, I thought to try again, and I chose Marta. Since then she is my teacher and I have been regular, so that means she really knows how to teach violin to a new beginner. I also thought there might be some communication issue because English is not the first language for both of us, but no such problem occurred. She is very knowledgeable. She knows how to start the lessons and keep going from there. She also understands what to teach students so they do not get bored. She keeps a balance of everything, and I definitely recommend Marta to anyone who wants to learn violin.
“I started as a complete beginner and built a really strong foundation. I would highly recommend Marta to anyone wanting to learn violin, whether you are just starting or looking to improve.”
Hi, my name is AK. I have been taking violin lessons with Marta for about four years now. I started as a complete beginner and over time I have built a really strong foundation thanks to the guidance and patience. Right now I am working on perfecting my C and D major scales and starting to move into third position, which has been really exciting. Lessons are always very supportive and encouraging and everything is explained clearly, which makes it much easier to improve each week. I have really enjoyed my lessons with Marta. There is a great balance of technique and musicality and I can definitely see how much I have progressed since the day I started. I would highly recommend Marta to anyone wanting to learn violin, whether you are just starting or looking to improve. Thank you.
